1 The first man we can name who climbed a mountain... 这是双重定语从句，二个定语从句不在同一个层次上，不是并列关系，所以不需要并列连词，we can name的先行词为first man, who...定语从句的先行词为first man we can name。
2 other than一般根据介词剖析，但事实上than比较分句的简略，简略到只剩下一个名词，所以就根据介词剖析了。这就是为何介词一般不可以后接that从句，than却可将来接that从句是什么原因。
3 that从句为名词性从句，与reason是同位关系，表示缘由。除去that从句表示的这个缘由外没其他缘由。
