句子The country is in the situation where a war willbreak out at any time. 这个句子主流的讲解是用关系副词where引导的定语从句，修饰抽象地址situation。（本人也更倾向于这个说法）
但亦有同志提出，这个从句应该是对situation的讲解，应该用that来引导同位语从句。请问这个说法是不是有道理？假如不对应该怎么样反驳？
The country is in the situation where a war will break out at any time.
这里的 where 从句应剖析为定语从句。理由如下：
1. 这里的 where 可以用 in which 来替代（where引导同位语从句时是不可以换成 in which 的）：
The country is in the situation wherea war will break out at any time.
= The country is in the situation inwhich a war will break out at any time.
2. where 引导同位语从句仅用于极少数名词（特别是idea）后面，不能随便推广。如下面一句中的 where 引导同位语从句：
I have no idea where he is. （同位语从句）
